Supply & Logistics Associate (Construction) – Temporary (6 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Associate (Construction) to support the emergency response to the June 2024 earthquakes in Venezuela. The role is based in Caracas and will provide technical assistance for construction activities over a six‑month temporary appointment. The associate will work closely with the country office’s supply chain team to ensure that construction interventions are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to construction projects, including planning and coordination.
• Assist the Supply and Construction Officer in monitoring project progress and compliance.
• Collaborate with national, regional and local authorities, UN agencies and humanitarian partners.
• Support procurement and logistics processes related to construction materials and services.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF construction standards and safety regulations.
• Contribute to reporting and documentation of construction activities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in construction support, preferably in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
