Supply Chain Associate – Procurement (2 positions)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two Supply Chain Associates specialized in procurement to support its mission in Caracas, Venezuela. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Resources Management Officer, the role will contribute to the efficient management of resources, ensuring that procurement and logistics activities align with IOM’s standards and objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and purchase order issuance.
• Coordinate logistics operations, overseeing the movement, storage and distribution of goods and services.
• Maintain asset management records and support inventory control activities.
• Ensure compliance with IOM/UN Procurement and Logistics Rules and Procedures.
• Collaborate with headquarters, administrative centres and national partners to align supply‑chain activities with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with at least three years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with five years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement, logistics and vendor management.
• Familiarity with asset‑management processes and, preferably, with IOM/UN procurement rules.
• Professional certification in Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
