Senior Supply Chain Associate (Logistics)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Associate (Logistics) to support its operations in Caracas, Venezuela. The role will manage procurement, logistics and asset‑management activities to ensure efficient delivery of services in a multicultural UN environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement processes for goods and services, ensuring compliance with IOM/UN rules.
• Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing and distribution of supplies.
• Oversee asset‑management, maintaining accurate inventories and lifecycle records.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and monitoring performance.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on procurement and logistics procedures.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support emergency‑response logistics as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with six years of experience.
• Proven experience in procurement and logistics, working with service providers and vendors.
• Familiarity with asset‑management processes.
• Knowledge of IOM/UN procurement and logistics rules is an advantage.
• Experience in an international, multicultural organization is a plus.
• Ability to train and coordinate teams.
