Senior Program Associate – Protection (2 positions)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two Senior Program Associates to lead protection and humanitarian programming in Venezuela. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Protection Officer, the incumbent will coordinate, plan, implement, monitor and report on multisectoral response activities following the June 2026 earthquakes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and execution of protection interventions for displaced populations.
• Coordinate with programme units, regional offices and headquarters to ensure alignment of activities.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports and contribute to donor communications.
• Facilitate the delivery of life‑saving assistance in affected areas, ensuring compliance with IOM policies.
• Provide technical guidance to field staff and partners on protection standards.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in humanitarian affairs, social sciences, law, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in protection, humanitarian assistance or migration programmes.
• Demonstrated experience working in emergency contexts and with vulnerable populations.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with fluency in English; Spanish is essential.
