Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to lead all procurement activities for our construction and industrial projects. The role involves developing strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely, cost‑effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and project objectives.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, bid evaluation, and contract award processes.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement best‑practice procurement processes.
• Coordinate closely with project, engineering, finance, and logistics teams.
• Manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, legal requirements, and ethical procurement standards.
• Assess procurement risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Lead and mentor procurement team members to achieve departmental goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7‑15 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in construction or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluent in English; Spanish language skills are highly preferred.
• CIPS certification or equivalent procurement certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
