Senior Information and Communication Technology Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Information and Communication Technology Associate to lead the delivery and coordination of ICT solutions and services at its Caracas country office. The role ensures efficient and effective operation of the mission’s IT networks and systems, supporting end‑users and aligning with IOM’s ICT strategy, policies and standards. This special short‑term appointment runs until 31 December 2026 and offers the chance to contribute to migration‑related programmes in a dynamic UN environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate ICT solutions and services for the country office.
• Deliver end‑user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Maintain and optimise IT networks and systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Monitor ICT assets and inventory.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures in line with IOM ICT policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Required skills

• Experience with ICT solution delivery and end‑user support.
• Knowledge of IT network and system maintenance.
