Senior Data Engineer (Databricks) – Remote

About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer specializing in Databricks, you will design and optimize robust data pipelines and lakehouse models that power analytics and operational excellence for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Design durable data models and schemas following a Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Orchestrate complex workflows and manage dependencies with Apache Airflow.
• Transform raw datasets into clean, production‑ready data products using dbt and SQL.
• Optimize pipeline performance and compute usage through partitioning, caching, and query tuning.
• Implement automated data quality checks and testing standards to ensure lakehouse integrity.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise designing and optimizing pipelines in Databricks lakehouse environments.
• Strong proficiency with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt and SQL for data transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable, analytics‑ready datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
