Senior AWS DevOps Engineer – Remote (12‑month contract)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing engineering team that supports a high‑traffic consumer web platform as it migrates its infrastructure to AWS. You will modernise and harden the delivery systems, build internal tooling that accelerates code shipping (including AI‑driven agents), and ensure a WordPress‑based site runs at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate the existing platform infrastructure to a serverless AWS environment.
• Modernise and harden systems that deliver the platform to customers.
• Build internal tooling to speed up engineering workflows, integrating AI agents where appropriate.
• Support and scale a high‑traffic WordPress‑based site.

Required profile

• 8+ years deploying and supporting high‑traffic, scalable web applications.
• 5+ years working with AWS serverless services such as Cognito, Lambda, Step Functions and DynamoDB.
• Strong TypeScript expertise and hands‑on experience with the AWS CDK.
• Proficient scripting skills (Linux/Unix shell, Python or Ruby) and solid CI/CD experience across native AWS services and third‑party tools.
• Experience defining multi‑account AWS strategies using Amazon Organizations and integrating SCM, code‑quality and testing tools into pipelines.
