Senior Assessment Officer – Venezuela (Caracas)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Assessment Officer to lead its inter‑sectoral research portfolio in Venezuela. Based in Caracas, you will design, implement and oversee multi‑sectoral needs assessments, humanitarian situation monitoring and market monitoring initiatives that inform emergency response and longer‑term recovery planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full research cycle – from design and data collection to analysis, drafting, dissemination and evaluation – in line with IMPACT guidelines.
• Oversee the Multi‑Sectoral Needs Assessment, Humanitarian Situation Monitoring and Joint Market Monitoring initiatives.
• Produce concise briefs, factsheets and presentations for diverse external audiences.
• Mentor and train team members to strengthen their research design, analytical and communication skills.

Required profile

• Strong research and analytical background with experience in humanitarian assessments.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively and translate data findings into actionable recommendations.
