Risk Manager (P-4) – 6 month contract

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior Risk and Compliance Manager to strengthen risk assurance and compliance within its Venezuela country office. The position reports to the Representative and focuses on improving risk management practices during a six‑month fixed‑term assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk management support, including development, implementation and continuous improvement of risk practices at process, system and entity levels.
• Deliver compliance support and oversight, ensuring adherence to UNICEF policies and donor requirements.
• Manage fraud risk, conduct investigations and advise senior management on mitigation strategies.
• Build awareness and capacity across teams through training and advisory services.
• Offer context‑specific risk assurance and advisory support aligned with the humanitarian response in Venezuela.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master or higher) in Business Administration, Financial Management or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in risk management, compliance or financial oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex, fragile humanitarian environments.
• Strong analytical and advisory skills.
