Real Estate Controller

About the role

Etico is looking for a detail‑oriented Real Estate Controller to manage the financial operations of its property portfolio. Based in Miami but working remotely from Caracas, you will own accounting, reporting, budgeting and internal control processes for a growing real‑estate business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions for the real‑estate portfolio, including general ledger, AP, and AR.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections across properties.
• Oversee property‑level accounting such as rent rolls, CAM reconciliations and lease transactions.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators to ensure compliance.
• Analyze financial performance, identify variances and provide strategic insights.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvements.
• Create reporting, ledger management and closing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real‑estate, property management or construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
