QA Automation Engineer (Playwright) – Remote

About the role

You will own the QA function for a fast‑moving startup while providing first‑line customer support during US business hours. The role blends automation engineering with direct user interaction, allowing you to build advanced Playwright test suites, analyse root causes, and patch minor issues directly on git branches.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright.
• Manage the full QA lifecycle, including root‑cause analysis and bug reporting.
• Provide first‑line support via Intercom for US‑based customers.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate testing workflows.
• Patch minor code issues directly on git branches for review by the core team.
• Collaborate with agentic QA tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in QA automation.
• Strong proficiency with Playwright.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
• Excellent communication skills for customer‑facing support.
• Availability to work in US time zones.
• Advanced English proficiency.
