About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support the implementation and monitoring of migration‑related projects in Caracas. The role involves data handling, budget oversight, and administrative coordination with internal units and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
• Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information and data on specific project topics.
• Monitor project budget by verifying fund availability, obtaining approvals, and updating budget information.
• Act as the focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with diverse organisational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain clearances, and follow up on actions.
• Draft status reports, identify shortfalls, escalate issues to the supervisor, and suggest remedial actions.
• Prepare correspondence related to project matters.

Required profile

• Experience in project implementation and monitoring.
• Ability to analyse and present data effectively.
• Familiarity with budget tracking and financial approval processes.
• Strong coordination skills for working with multiple organisational units and external stakeholders.
• Good written communication for drafting reports and correspondence.
