Programme Officer – 6‑month contract in Caracas

About the role
Under the guidance of the Deputy Representative, Programmes, the Programme Officer will provide professional technical assistance and support for programme planning, implementation, data analysis, and grant and budget management. The role works closely with Operations to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of UNICEF’s humanitarian response in Venezuela.
Key responsibilities
- Knowledge management for programmes
- Programme development and management
- Grant and budget management / optimum use of programme funds
- Programme monitoring and evaluations
- Applying rights‑based and results‑based programme management approaches
- Building partnerships, coordination and collaboration with national actors and UN partners
Required profile
- Experience providing technical assistance in programme planning and implementation
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis and budget oversight
- Ability to coordinate closely with Operations and other stakeholders
- Familiarity with humanitarian contexts and child rights frameworks
