Procurement Engineer – Airport Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Engineer to lead the sourcing and acquisition of materials, equipment, and subcontract packages for a major airport construction project. The successful candidate will coordinate procurement activities, evaluate supplier quotations, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial bids, and issue purchase orders.
• Source and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review material specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Monitor procurement schedules and expedite deliveries to meet project timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, commercial, QA/QC, and construction teams.
• Maintain procurement records and generate status reports.
• Support contract administration, cost control, and supplier performance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• 5–8 years of procurement experience in construction, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
• Experience on airport or large‑scale infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement processes, tendering, contract administration, and vendor management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
