Principal NetSuite Consultant – Nonprofit

About the role

As a Principal NetSuite Consultant at Plative you will serve as the senior functional authority for a portfolio of nonprofit organisations, guiding end‑to‑end ERP transformations and mentoring the consulting team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead executive‑level discovery sessions and translate fund accounting, grant and donor management requirements into NetSuite configurations.
• Own the full project lifecycle for complex NetSuite implementations, from solution design through configuration and go‑live readiness.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on nonprofit finance, including fund accounting, grant budgeting, restricted/unrestricted revenue and multi‑funder allocations.
• Design program and grant workflows for community foundations, food banks and First Nations/Indigenous organisations.
• Mentor senior consultants and analysts, reviewing their designs and configurations.
• Partner with sales and account teams on pre‑sales scoping, technical discovery and statement‑of‑work development.
• Identify project risks and technical constraints early and work with delivery leadership to resolve them.
• Maintain executive‑level client relationships and surface opportunities for platform optimisation and expansion.
• Develop reusable delivery assets such as blueprints and templates for nonprofit engagements.

Required profile

• 7+ years implementing and configuring NetSuite ERP with a focus on nonprofit organisations, including at least one full‑cycle implementation.
• Deep expertise in fund accounting, grant management and restricted/unrestricted revenue recognition.
• Proven ability to lead executive discovery sessions, functional design workshops and full‑lifecycle ERP deliveries.
• Strong communication skills with experience advising executive and board‑level stakeholders.
• Experience using AI technologies (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to improve delivery workstreams.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
