National Project Officer (Shelter & NFI)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Project Officer to support the Shelter and Non‑Food Items (NFI) programme in Venezuela. Based in Caracas, the officer will work under the supervision of the project manager to ensure effective implementation of donor‑funded activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring operational, administrative and financial aspects of the Shelter & NFI project in line with IOM policies and donor requirements.
• Provide regular updates to the supervisor on project status, identify implementation gaps and propose corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development and revision of work plans, budgets, monitoring and evaluation tools and standard operating procedures.
• Collect, verify and analyse project data and background information, and maintain information‑management systems.
• Support reporting, documentation and communication activities, including updates to social‑media platforms as required.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in coordinating humanitarian or migration‑related projects.
• Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and IOM operational guidelines.
• Strong analytical abilities to track budgets, performance indicators and data quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
