Master Electrician Supervisor

About the role

The Master Electrician Supervisor will be based in Venezuela and will support the U.S. Embassy Venezuela BLS Services contract for the U.S. Department of State. This senior‑level position oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems across assigned sites, ensuring safe, reliable and code‑compliant power distribution and emergency power support for mission requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electricians, medium‑voltage electricians and support staff in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, lighting and emergency power systems.
• Lead preventive‑maintenance programs to maximize system uptime, safety and reliability.
• Diagnose complex electrical malfunctions, power‑quality issues and equipment failures.
• Monitor load management, power quality and electrical distribution performance.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA and manufacturer specifications.
• Implement and enforce arc‑flash protection, LOTO procedures and PPE requirements.
• Conduct electrical safety training and certify personnel.
• Schedule shifts, manage short‑notice projects and emergency response.
• Inspect and audit work for compliance with SOW, quality standards and electrical codes.
• Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications and work plans.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system modifications and safety inspections.
• Prepare performance, energy consumption and safety reports.
• Coordinate with other departments and contractors on electrical projects and facility modifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising electrical teams in a high‑security or government environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and codes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex electrical systems.
