About the role
CORE is a crisis‑response organization that delivers immediate aid and long‑term recovery to underserved communities. The Country Representative will be the senior‑most in‑country leader based in Caracas, acting as the public face of CORE in Venezuela.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the country strategy for CORE’s humanitarian programmes.
- Represent CORE externally with government agencies, donors, and partner organisations.
- Establish the legal and operational framework for CORE’s presence in Venezuela.
- Build and manage a funded portfolio that extends beyond the current earthquake response.
- Develop long‑term relationships and institutional credibility to position CORE for future work in the region.
Required profile
- Highly external, relationship‑driven professional with senior leadership experience.
- Proven ability to act as the public face of an organisation and engage high‑level stakeholders.
- Experience in crisis response, humanitarian programmes, or similar contexts.
- Strong understanding of government and donor environments in Venezuela.
