Country Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Country Finance Manager to join our team in Caracas, Venezuela. Reporting directly to the Country Manager and the Group CFO, you will act as the senior finance representative in Venezuela, ensuring robust financial governance, compliance, reporting accuracy, treasury management, and business decision support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial records and compliance with Venezuelan GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage tax and regulatory compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and transfer pricing.
• Direct treasury functions, cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and foreign‑exchange exposure management.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and performance monitoring against targets.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the Country Manager and local leadership, supporting commercial negotiations and investment decisions.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, governance procedures and risk‑mitigation frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Venezuelan accounting regulations and tax legislation.
• Fluent Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.
• Experience in a multinational environment, preferably in energy or natural‑resources sectors.
