Community Builder (Volunteer)

About the role

The Open Library on Green Economy (OLGE) is seeking a volunteer Community Builder to launch and grow its WhatsApp community. You will translate pre‑approved sustainability content into active engagement, linking interested individuals from LinkedIn and Facebook to a dedicated WhatsApp group.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage a WhatsApp group from scratch, driving member acquisition through structured outreach.
• Post pre‑approved content on relevant LinkedIn posts and Facebook groups, ensuring consistent visibility.
• Identify and engage with online sustainability and climate communities to funnel members into the WhatsApp group.
• Moderate the WhatsApp group, maintain hygiene, and encourage structured discussion.
• Track outreach and growth metrics in a simple tracker and share weekly updates.
• Provide feedback and suggest improvements based on observed results.

Required profile

• Comfortable posting and interacting on LinkedIn and Facebook.
• Organised, consistent, and able to handle repetitive tasks.
• Self‑motivated to own a simple but important growth goal.
• Interest in sustainability, climate, or green‑economy topics.

Required skills

• Familiarity with WhatsApp group management.
• Basic experience using LinkedIn and Facebook for outreach.
