Bilingual Energy Writer & Interviewer

About the role

Energy Capital & Power is looking for an experienced bilingual (English/Spanish) Energy Writer and Interviewer to produce on‑the‑ground, high‑profile interviews and editorial pieces during Venezuela Energy Week 2026 in Caracas.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct professional, on‑site interviews in both Spanish and English with government ministers, public‑sector officials, international investors and senior executives.
• Translate complex technical discussions on hydrocarbons legislation, field reactivations and gas monetization into concise, data‑driven editorial content.
• Deliver fast‑turnaround coverage—including news briefs, executive Q&As and press releases—throughout the event, capturing key takeaways from panels and strategic forums.
• Focus reporting on regulatory reforms, upstream acceleration, and infrastructure & gas developments highlighted for the summit.

Required profile

• Full professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Prior experience writing for the oil & gas, energy or investment sectors.
• Comfort asking direct, insightful questions to senior government representatives, international operators and financial leaders.
• Ability to be on‑site in Caracas from August through the event dates (October 26‑29, 2026).
