Backend Engineer – Remote (Microservices)

About the role

As a Backend Engineer you will focus on modernizing legacy monolithic applications by converting them into scalable micro‑services architectures. You will work remotely with a global team of top‑tier engineers, delivering high‑performance systems that support continuous delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the transition from monolithic to modular micro‑services using .NET or Java.
• Lead the decomposition of legacy codebases while preserving system stability and data integrity.
• Develop and optimize robust RESTful APIs for inter‑service communication.
• Apply advanced refactoring techniques to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Integrate modern CI/CD practices to accelerate deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architectural standards and best practices for migration.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in backend or software engineering.
• Proven expertise in modernizing legacy monoliths into micro‑services.
• Strong proficiency in either .NET/C# or Java ecosystems.
• Solid experience with API design and RESTful migrations.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipeline adoption.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
