About the role

As a Backend Engineer specializing in Kotlin, you will design and maintain scalable server‑side applications within the JVM ecosystem. You will work remotely, collaborating with a global team of top‑tier engineers to deliver high‑performance microservices for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless inter‑service communication.
• Implement data persistence layers with Spring Data JPA and PostgreSQL.
• Orchestrate event‑driven architectures and real‑time data flows using Apache Kafka and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to architect scalable microservices that meet enterprise standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive unit tests to ensure reliability and performance.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience focused on JVM‑based backend development.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin for building microservices and distributed systems.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot integration.
• Strong proficiency in data persistence using JPA and PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka for asynchronous messaging.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
