Assistant Superintendent

About the role

The Assistant Superintendent supports the daily operations of the Golf Course Maintenance department at Invited’s private clubs. Reporting to the 1st Assistant Superintendent, you will help maintain healthy turf, trees, wetlands and other plant materials while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in providing agronomic direction for all grounds, including grasses, trees, and wetlands.
• Schedule, operate, and maintain irrigation systems across the course and clubhouse grounds.
• Coordinate, apply, and document chemical treatments in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Support crew scheduling, task assignment, and hands‑on training on technical and safety procedures.
• Maintain and safely operate golf‑course mechanical equipment, adhering to OSHA standards.
• Participate in regular meetings to review operations, safety, and environmental concerns.
• Assist with property and asset management, expense forecasting, and record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Experience or education in turfgrass management, agronomy, or related fields.
• Ability to follow company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong professionalism when interacting with members, colleagues, and staff.
• Willingness to take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain relevant certifications.
