Accounting Coordinator – US Tax & Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to lead our remote accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. tax regulations. The role combines supervision, process improvement, and the implementation of automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the accounting team and coordinate payroll, including tip calculations.
• Maintain precise bookkeeping and manage all accounting records in QuickBooks.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and financial‑statement reconciliations.
• Lead the monthly close process and enforce internal accounting policies.
• Prepare and review management financial reports.
• Oversee U.S. income‑tax calculation, filing and coordination with external advisors.
• Implement AI‑driven automation tools to increase efficiency.
• Identify and standardize opportunities for process improvement.

Required profile

• Professional C1‑level English communication.
• Proven experience supervising accounting or senior accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, payroll, bookkeeping and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with U.S. accounting and tax processes (or willingness to be trained).
• Experience or interest in AI and automation applied to accounting.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to work remotely full‑time from Venezuela.
