Video Editor & Social Media Assistant

About the role

4Geeks Academy is looking for a creative Video Editor & Social Media Assistant to join its Marketing team. You will primarily focus on editing engaging short‑form videos for various platforms while also supporting content preparation and publishing tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Edit Reels, TikToks, Shorts, LinkedIn videos, and other social media formats.
• Transform webinars, interviews, events, and educational sessions into concise, share‑ready clips.
• Identify compelling moments from long‑form videos and create platform‑specific adaptations.
• Add subtitles, on‑screen text, transitions, music, and visual elements to enhance engagement.
• Maintain visual identity and adhere to 4Geeks Academy’s content guidelines.
• Prepare simple Stories and visual assets using Canva.
• Support scheduling, publishing, and content‑calendar management.
• Research trends and formats to inspire new social media concepts.

Required profile

• Previous experience editing video content for social media.
• Strong visual judgment, attention to detail, and sense of pacing.
• Ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills for managing video files and projects.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and making quick revisions.
• Advanced level of English.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in CapCut.
• Intermediate proficiency in Canva.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop (nice to have).
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Metricool, Hootsuite, Buffer, or AI‑powered video creation tools.
