Staff Backend Engineer (Node.js + TypeScript) – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to lead the design and implementation of critical data infrastructure. You will shape multi‑tenant data flows, graph‑based systems, and distributed architectures while mentoring engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for complex data‑moving projects and multi‑tenant data flows.
• Design and implement sophisticated data pipelines and graph‑based data structures.
• Define and execute an observability strategy for distributed systems.
• Guide and mentor engineers on best practices for data architecture and interoperability.

Required profile

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, graph traversal, hashing, and recursion.
• Proven experience building data pipelines and ensuring API/service interoperability.
• Advanced English communication skills.
