Senior Full Stack Java Engineer (Java & Angular) – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

You will work on a mature, customer‑facing product, owning features end‑to‑end in a modern full‑stack environment built with Java 21, Spring Boot and Angular. The role is a 6‑month contractor position where your contributions have immediate impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and debug new product features end‑to‑end across the Java 21/Spring Boot backend and Angular frontend.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs backed by PostgreSQL, MyBatis and Liquibase for schema management.
• Implement Redis‑based caching and session‑management strategies.
• Create reactive Angular components using RxJS and ensure a consistent user experience.
• Write comprehensive unit and end‑to‑end tests for critical business logic.
• Utilise AWS services (S3, ECS, CloudWatch, Bedrock) for storage, deployment and observability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, accurately estimate feature complexity and proactively communicate risks.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong background in Java 21 and Spring Boot patterns.
• Proven experience building Angular applications (v14+).
• Solid SQL skills with PostgreSQL and ORM tools such as MyBatis or Hibernate.
• Experience with Redis, AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work autonomously.
