Senior Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Construction Supervisor will lead and oversee all field construction activities for Chevron's facilities in Maracaibo, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural works on‑site.
• Provide day‑to‑day oversight of contractors and subcontractors, verifying work quality and productivity.
• Coordinate construction activities with engineering, QA/QC, procurement, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Assume primary accountability for HSE and operational excellence during execution.
• Verify compliance with safety plans, permits, environmental controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Support development and execution of construction execution plans, sequencing, and resource loading.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and drive corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
• Participate in progress, kick‑off, and interface meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure construction follows approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and contractual terms.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to address non‑conformances and technical issues.
• Maintain effective relationships with JV partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading medium‑scope construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and structural works.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with engineering, QA/QC, and operations.
• Understanding of HSE principles and operational excellence tenets.
• Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder and JV coordination.
