Senior AWS Cloud Engineer – Remote

About the role

As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer you will be the technical anchor for BairesDev's infrastructure team, driving cost‑reduction initiatives and ensuring high‑performance, scalable cloud solutions for large‑scale, multi‑cluster environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide deep operations and database expertise as the go‑to technical anchor.
• Lead cost‑optimization projects to improve infrastructure efficiency.
• Manage and optimize large‑scale Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS using Helm and Terraform.
• Address data‑layer bottlenecks and tune Aurora PostgreSQL under heavy traffic.
• Mentor team members on best practices for operations and infrastructure.
• Make technical decisions balancing performance, cost, and scalability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale, multi‑cluster Kubernetes environments on AWS EKS.
• Strong expertise with Helm, Terraform, and Karpenter for automatic scaling.
• Advanced DBA skills for Aurora PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and parameter optimization.
• Excellent command of English.
