Python Developer – Remote Backend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Python Developer to design, build, and operate backend services and data processing systems in AWS. The role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work on distributed micro‑services and asynchronous pipelines that power core product functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain asynchronous and batch processing pipelines with AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, and ECS.
• Write, optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Deploy, monitor and operate services in AWS, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, enhancing system observability and scalability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production backend development experience with Python.
• Strong expertise in FastAPI and event‑driven architectures on AWS.
• Proven experience building distributed systems and asynchronous processing pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with automated testing using Pytest.
• Fluent English communication.
