Python Developer – Remote Backend Engineer

About the role

BairesDev is seeking an experienced Python Developer to design, build, and operate backend services and data processing systems in AWS. You will work on distributed micro‑services and asynchronous pipelines, owning the full lifecycle from design to production support.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain asynchronous and batch processing systems on AWS (SQS, Lambda, ECS).
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries for MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Deploy, monitor and operate services in AWS environments.
• Debug production issues, improve reliability, performance and observability of distributed systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production backend experience with Python.
• Strong experience with FastAPI.
• Production experience with AWS and event‑driven architectures.
• Proven ability to build distributed systems and asynchronous processing pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
