Programme Assistant (G-5) – Temporary, 6 months, Maracaibo

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Programme Assistant (G-5) for a six‑month temporary appointment in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Working under the close supervision of the Chief of Field Office, you will support the implementation and monitoring of programme activities in response to the recent earthquakes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative, operational and procedural support to the programme section.
• Facilitate timely execution of tasks in line with UNICEF rules and regulations.
• Assist with financial and logistical arrangements, travel coordination and event organization.
• Support knowledge management, communication and digital tools used by the team.
• Contribute to emergency response activities and ensure flexibility during crises.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education.
• Ability to work under supervision in a fast‑paced humanitarian environment.
• Willingness to adapt to emergency contexts and travel as needed.
