Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for daily facility upkeep and preventive maintenance of processing equipment in a healthcare‑focused manufacturing environment. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures, performing timely repairs, and ensuring compliance with all safety programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine daily maintenance activities for the facility and scheduled preventive maintenance on processing equipment.
• Identify problems, collect data, draw conclusions, recommend corrective actions, and execute repairs to restore equipment to operational status.
• Determine material needs, obtain pricing, complete purchase orders, and, with supervisor approval, order required supplies.
• Coordinate with operations personnel and external contractors regarding work orders as needed.
• Adhere to all facility safety programs and assist with additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years of maintenance experience in a processing/manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Medical approval for respirator use and tolerance for high temperature and humidity conditions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of 480‑volt 3‑phase power.
• Ability to read and interpret ladder logic and electrical diagrams.
• Electric motor control troubleshooting.
• Repair and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Operation of welding equipment and cutting torch.
• Safe use of hand and power tools.
