About the role
As a National Key Account Manager within Kuehne+Nagel's Freight Forwarding team, you will own the commercial relationship with strategic national customers across all logistics solutions. You will translate customer needs into value‑driven proposals, drive revenue growth, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary commercial contact for a portfolio of national key customers.
- Manage the full customer lifecycle: relationship building, business development, negotiations, and performance follow‑up.
- Develop and execute account strategies and growth plans aligned with customer and company objectives.
- Identify, develop and close new business opportunities, including cross‑selling and upselling logistics services.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and service agreements in collaboration with internal teams.
- Monitor commercial performance (pipeline, revenue, wins/losses) and take corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new business into operations and conduct regular business reviews.
- Collaborate closely with operations, pricing, customer care and leadership to guarantee consistent service delivery.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Economics, Supply Chain or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Strategic Sales or Business Development, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of logistics solutions (air, sea, road, customs).
- Proven track record in consultative selling, negotiations and solution‑based sales.
- Ability to understand customer business models and competitive environments.
- Strategic mindset with focus on results and commercial performance.
