Head of Programme Support Unit (PSU)

About the role

The Head of Programme Support Unit (PSU) will lead project development and donor liaison activities for the Country Office. Reporting to the Regional Director and the Chief of Mission, the role ensures high‑quality proposals, reports and strategic partnerships that advance IOM’s migration management and emergency response programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and submit project proposals and donor reports.
• Coordinate project development, donor and institutional reporting across migration management, emergency response and other programmes.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to align IOM’s strategic objectives with country‑level initiatives.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, UN bodies and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with regional and headquarters units to ensure coherence and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme development, donor relations and reporting within an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong understanding of migration management and emergency response frameworks.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior leadership while fostering collaboration across units.
• Excellent communication and partnership‑building skills.
