Field Service Technician – Rotating Equipment

About the role

The Field Service Technician will work on gas turbines, steam turbines and generators at client sites such as power plants, refineries and industrial facilities. The role involves extensive travel – up to 80% nationally and internationally – and requires hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting and support while strictly following technical and quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect and re‑assemble gas and steam turbines and electric generators.
• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance activities on rotating equipment.
• Use standard and specialised tools, including handheld grinders and precision measuring instruments.
• Complete checklist inspections, record equipment condition and ensure documentation meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with site leaders, supervisors and colleagues to achieve maintenance objectives.
• Identify and resolve technical or scheduling issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
• Adhere to Siemens Energy’s integrated management system (EHS, Quality) and customer safety policies.

Required profile

• Technical degree related to industrial mechanics.
• 5+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience with rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally up to 80% of the time.
• Capability to operate overhead cranes safely.
