Field Coordinator

About the role

The Field Coordinator will support the IFRC Emergency Appeal in Venezuela following the 24 June 2026 earthquakes. Based in the affected areas, the role serves as the main link between the IFRC Country Delegation, the Venezuelan Red Cross staff and volunteers, local authorities, communities and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of shelter, multipurpose cash assistance, health, WASH, protection, community engagement and early recovery activities.
• Monitor programme progress, ensure accurate reporting and compliance with IFRC policies and safeguarding standards.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among the IFRC, ICRC, participating National Societies, government authorities and other humanitarian actors.
• Support logistical arrangements and resource allocation in a challenging environment with damaged infrastructure and access constraints.
• Promote accountability and community engagement throughout the response.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating humanitarian or disaster‑response operations.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a complex, rapidly changing environment.
• Familiarity with IFRC operational frameworks, safeguarding principles and accountability mechanisms.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
