About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, restoring health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. In the wake of the June 2026 earthquakes in Venezuela and escalating violence in Colombia and Ecuador, the organization faces heightened operational demands across a complex, multi‑country environment. The Deputy Director of Operations (DDO) will join a solutions‑driven team to lead and coordinate program support across Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador, ensuring that IRC’s response remains efficient, effective and accountable.

Key responsibilities

Provide overall leadership of operations and coordinate support to programs across Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador.
Ensure efficiency, effectiveness and accountability across a complex, multi‑country operating environment.

Required profile

Open to national candidates only, or candidates with current residency in the country.
