Bilingual Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist (Spanish/English Required)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Virtual Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist to support a busy US‑based skin clinic. The position is fully remote and focuses on front‑line patient communication, scheduling, insurance verification, and prior‑authorization coordination, especially for Spanish‑speaking patients.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls promptly, assist patients with inquiries, and document call details.
• Manage the clinic calendar, schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments, and confirm details with patients.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, update eligibility information, and record patient responsibility.
• Coordinate prior‑authorizations by gathering required data, submitting requests, and tracking status with payers.

Required profile

• Fully fluent in both Spanish and English.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting a US medical clinic.
• Comfortable handling high‑volume patient calls and working independently.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work remotely with a dedicated workspace.
