IT Services Operations Manager

About the role

The IT Services Operations Manager will oversee Amentum’s IT infrastructure and system functionality at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, supporting the DiPSS Venezuela BLS contract for the U.S. Department of State. Reporting to the Project Manager and working with Amentum IT Field Services, the role ensures reliable IT services in a secure, diplomatic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Amentum IT infrastructure operations across Venezuela, including remote management and onsite support.
• Recruit, orient, train, and develop IT staff while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
• Maintain SOPs, operational standards, and documentation for systems and network configurations.
• Manage hardware, software, communications systems, and vendor updates, ensuring timely installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Supervise help‑desk ticket resolution, service requests, and equipment replacement.
• Administer IT‑related contracts, warranties, ISP agreements, and Government Furnished Equipment.
• Provide regular status reports and briefings to senior management.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of management experience in information systems and infrastructure.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment.
• Strong analytical, research, and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service in an overseas or diplomatic setting.
