Health & Nutrition Officer – 6‑month TA role

About the role
The Health & Nutrition Officer will join UNICEF’s emergency response team in Caracas, supporting the implementation of the 2026 Humanitarian Response Plan for the earthquake‑affected regions of Venezuela. The position focuses on ensuring that vulnerable children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women have access to essential health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene services during the six‑month assignment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating multisectoral actions for health and nutrition in the affected communities.
- Support monitoring and reporting of health and nutrition interventions aligned with the Humanitarian Response Plan.
- Contribute to the assessment of needs and gaps in health, nutrition, WASH services.
- Collaborate with national authorities, UN partners and NGOs to facilitate delivery of assistance.
Required profile
- Commitment to UNICEF’s mission and to protecting children’s rights.
- Willingness to work in an emergency context and adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
