Executive Director – Civil Construction

About the role

The Executive Director – Civil Construction leads the strategic and operational delivery of large‑scale civil, infrastructure and EPC projects. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for multi‑billion‑dollar civil construction and infrastructure programmes.
• Direct all phases of project execution, construction operations and delivery.
• Define execution strategies, construction methodologies and resource deployment plans.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, cost and profitability targets, applying corrective actions when needed.
• Lead project directors, construction managers, engineering teams and support functions across multiple sites.
• Oversee contract administration, claims, subcontractor performance and risk mitigation.
• Review and approve budgets, procurement strategies, cash‑flow forecasts and resource plans.
• Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement and best practices.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, government authorities and key stakeholders.
• Support business growth, tender reviews, project pursuits and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of civil construction experience, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale civil, infrastructure, airport, transportation, marine, utilities or EPC projects.
• Extensive experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams and multi‑billion‑dollar programmes.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, MRICS, PE or CEng are a plus.
