Bilingual Patient Follow-Up Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and personable Bilingual Patient Follow‑Up Specialist to support a growing personal injury medical practice. The role is remote and part‑time (approximately 30 hours per week) and focuses on clearing a backlog of patient follow‑up calls, documenting recovery progress, and handling attorney requests with high accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Contact patients 4‑6 weeks after their visit to assess recovery and record symptoms.
• Conduct outbound outreach via calls, texts, or approved channels, maintaining professionalism and persistence.
• Complete structured follow‑up questionnaires and enter responses into the practice’s symptom‑tracking database.
• Respond to attorney and law‑firm requests for medical records, evaluations, and billing documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Upload completed documents to designated portals and track outstanding requests.
• Provide end‑of‑day reports summarizing calls, outreach attempts, pending follow‑ups, and completed tasks.
• Learn and provide backup for scheduling and intake workflows, covering for other VMA when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a similar patient‑contact role.
• Excellent bilingual communication skills (English and a second language).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive medical and legal information.
• Persistent yet courteous outreach style and reliable follow‑through.
