Full-Time Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general building repairs, preparing vacant units for new tenants, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently. This full‑time position supports a residential portfolio and works closely with vendors and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders and projects involving electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, lock and tile repairs, blind/window treatment replacement, and HVAC furnace/air‑conditioner service.
• Make vacant apartments ready according to company standards, coordinating vendors for flooring, painting, cleaning, and appliance replacement.
• Maintain building inventory, stay within budget limits, and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Monitor and assist outside contractors, and respond to 24‑hour emergency maintenance calls.
• Perform grounds work such as trash removal, curb sweeping, and dumpster area upkeep.
• Assist with annual inspections, backflow testing, elevator, fire panel, and extinguisher testing.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work scheduled hours, including on‑call emergencies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
