Companion Caregiver – Senior Care (CNA/HHA)

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Companion Caregivers to support seniors in their homes. The role involves providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities while fostering a safe and respectful environment.

Key responsibilities

• Offer companionship and engage in conversation to reduce isolation.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and linen changes.
• Lay out clothing and help clients dress.
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Transport clients to and from appointments.
• Support family members by teaching safe care techniques.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors via phone or email for schedule updates and emergencies.

Required profile

• Demonstrates dignity, respect, and compassion toward clients.
• Can follow and interpret a client’s plan of care.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Comfortable around small pets such as dogs or cats.
• Available by phone or email for shift coordination and emergencies.
• Able to lift at least 25 lb safely.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license with personal vehicle.
• Physical ability to lift 25 lb.
• Tolerance to small household pets.
